
Cascaide UK: CDM Coordinator
All project are now subject to the revised Construction (Design & Management) Regulations) 2007.
In addition, all projects over 30 man days or 500 man hours are notifiable to the local HSE (Health & Safety Executive) office and a CDM Coordinator should be appointed by the client at design stage. The client is deemed to have undertaken the legal duties of the CDM Coordinator in the event this appointment is not made.
As CDM Coordinator, Cascaide would undertake the following on a fixed fee basis:
- Assist the client to check the competency of the principal contractor and design team members
- Notify HSE
- Ensure design and site information is communicated to all parties
- Prepare health & safety plan to accompany tender documents
- Prepare health and safety files on completion for retention by the client.
