Cascaide UK: Project Management
The appointment of a project manager is imperative on complex projects or where the client has limited construction knowledge and experience.
The role of the project manager varies depending on the type of project but typically your project manager will guide and advise at every stage of the project:
- Assess feasibility including site, design, budget and programme
- Assist with appointment of other design team members
- Advise of any potential issues with planning and building regulation applications
- Advise on legal obligations such as CDM and asbestos surveys
- Coordinate and lead design team
- Produce initial programme of works
- Oversee construction works on site, ensuring quality and health and safety is adhered to
- Take action to avoid trivial disputes escalating
- Ensure project completes on time and within budget
The extent of project management required will be dependant upon the size and complexity of the project and the client’s experience.
We can also provide site managers on short or long term contracts to main contractors.
